3 AM Traffic Stop In Wilton Leads To DUI Charge For 46-Year-Old Man, Police Say

A 46-year-old man was nabbed for DUI after allegedly weaving over the fog line early in the morning.

Efrain Ortiz of Bridgeport was arrested around 3 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, when a Wilton Police Officer allegedly saw him weaving over the fog line on Chestnut Hill Road, said the Wilton Police Department.

When officers talked with Ortiz he allegedly showed signs of impairment and was unable to perform a field sobriety test, police said.

Ortiz was charged with DUI/drugs or alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane. A blood alcohol test returned a 0.00 level. He was then given a urine test for further analysis, police said.

He was held on $250 bond.
